BROWN CITY — Peck snapped Brown City’s six game winning streak last Tuesday night, 48-46, on a buzzer-beating putback by senior Caleb Potter.

“We got outworked in the first half and dug ourselves into a hole,” said Green Devils head coach Anthony Troshak. “We came out flat and they brought energy, got on the glass, and knocked down shots. We need to refocus and move on. Hats off to Peck, they were well prepared and scrapped tonight.”

The Pirates led, 14-10 after the first quarter, and expanded their lead to eight points by halftime, 26-18.

In the third quarter though, Brown City battled back, trailing by just three points entering the final quarter, 36-33.

The game was tied, 46-46, with just 3.3 seconds left, and the ball in possession of the Pirates.

An inbounds pass went to Brandon Winiarski, and the junior forward drove the baseline, but missed the game-winning attempt.

Potter, however, was there waiting for the rebound, and put the game away on the putback.
