Students of the Week



The Brown City Lower Elementary Student of the Week is kindergartener Gage Sandusky, the son of Patricia Sandusky. Teacher Ambor Keesler chose Gage because, “He is always happy and helpful in class. Gage always has a smile on his face. He tries his best to make others smile. He has really worked hard all year to improve his kindergarten skills. He is a fun loving kid. The Brown City Upper Elementary Student of the Week is sixthgrade student Karlee Kayne, the daughter of Kevin and Tamara Kayne. School librarian Ruth Kulman chose Karlee because “of her excellence in helping in the library every day throughout the school year. She was always willing to do whatever was asked of her, like checking in and out books to classrooms. I believe one of her favorite things to do was organizing the books on the shelves. What a great helper! Thank you Karlee.” The Brown City Upper Elementary Student of the Week is sixthgrade student Karlee Kayne, the daughter of Kevin and Tamara Kayne. The Brown City High School Student of the Week is junior Taylor Deitch, the daughter of Michael Deitch of Brown City and Tracy Johnston of North Branch. Teacher Elizabeth Rayba chose Taylor because, “She is a hard-working student. She is focused on being successful in school and is a dedicated band student. She assists with the band program behind the scenes and has been very helpful keeping things running smoothly. She is a good musician and a good leader.” The Brown City High School Student of the Week is junior Taylor Deitch, the daughter of Michael Deitch of Brown City and Tracy Johnston of North Branch.
