Propeller car program offered Feb. 22

IMLAY CITY — Science isn’t all serious guys in white lab coats. It’s also fun making things go fast.

Children’s Librarian Mandy Summers will be showing youngsters eight and older how to build a propeller car at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 22 at the Ruth Hughes Memorial District Library, 211 North Almont Ave.

Summers said kids will find out how to take a few simple items and make something that speeds across the floor. Oh, and there will be some learning involved as well. Building the propeller car, she said, will introduce kids to Newton’s Laws of Motion and the concepts for force and friction.

Space will be limited, so call 810-724-8043 and reserve a seat.
