Peck: The Lady Pirates hosted Landmark Academy on Sept. 5 and North Huron on Sept. 7. No scores were reported. Peck is at Deckerville tomorrow. — L.P.

North Branch: The Lady Broncos suffered their first loss of the season at Wednesday’s quad match at Oxford when North Branch fell to Clarkston 25-16, 25-14. Clarkston is currently ranked No. 5 in the Class A Michigan Interscholastic Volleyball Coaches Association rankings. North Branch bounced back and defeated Oxford 25-14, 25-20 and Flushing 25-11, 25-17.

“Clarkston jumped out to a 6-0 lead and it was downhill from there,” said North Branch coach Jim Fish. “We knew we were going to lose eventually, but it was disappointing we did not give Clarkston a competitive match.”

Allyson Severance put up 37 kills, 20 digs and five aces. Alison Brice added 13 kills. Autumn Deshetsky dished out 43 assists. Olivia Sweeney served four aces and led the defense with 22 digs.

North Branch traveled to the Cros-Lex invite on Saturday and hosts Millington on Wednesday. — K.R.

Marlette: The Red Raiders were at LakeVille Sept. 7. No scores were reported. Marlette hosts Vassar tomorrow. — L.P.
