Each school has its own athletic clearance policy, which can be found at your child’s school web site under athletics. The typical things required before a child can tryout or take part in official practices is a current physical on file, signed code of conduct page from the student-athletes hand book, a school-specific tryout card and a pay-to-play fee if required by the school. — L.P.
