Traditionally, four students are selected from Ruth Fox Elementary School to attend the summer space camp program. This year, Ruth Fox joined with North Branch Middle School to choose six students to attend the special program.

That expansion followed a record-breaking fundraiser in

December, allowing the space camp scholarship committee to offer the opportunity to more students. Initially,

30 students applied to participate in space camp, and the committee narrowed that down to the final six who will travel to NASA’s center for six days in June.

The students attending space camp this summer are: • Abigail Weaver, Ruth Fox fifth grader • Gerrid Rutledge, Ruth Fox sixth- grader • Carlie Jones, Ruth Fox sixth grader • Ben Parton, North Branch Middle School seventh grader • Aleah Britt, North Branch Middle School eighth-grader

• Brenden Forester, North Branch Middle School eighth-grader
